Zoe Saldana Earns Academy Award for Worst Dressed

Walking in the red carpet is really an amazing experience especially On Oscars. Not everybody had experience it. Zoe Saldana had experienced it. And you know what; she also had experienced today to be “The Hollywood Goosip’s”annual “Worst Dressed” honor. Saldana wears a purple gown with so much fur design at the lower part, and with diamonds designs on the upper part. She’s still lucky indeed; she is pretty somehow compensating the dress. Saldana is beautiful, her face perfectly match with her skin. She wears simple jewelries which somehow enhanced her pretty face.

Saldana on the other hand has the highest-grossing film in history, and yes she has a considerable talent, let’s just look Saldana on these sides, because she’s not really on the fashion side. Some consider her dress as the ugliest of the ugly on the red carpet. Incomparable to Charlize Theron dress, stunningly gorgeous as ever. People just do not compare their gown.
Take it on the positive side Saldana, not everyone receives this award.

Saldana will sure prepare her gown for the next year’s award. She has a one year preparation and she will make everyone puzzled from this moment.

Nicole Kidman, Keith Urban, and Sunday: Sydney Arrival

With all the busy people and stars at Oscars, the couple “Nicole Kidman” and “Keith Urban” together with their daughter Sunday Rose was spotted hand in hand heading to go back to their home. They were spotted arriving at Sydney, Australia on Monday (March 8) their homeland.

They don’t mind missing the Oscars, they look happy to be backing home. The “Moulin Rouge” babe still had the looks of being gorgeous women, as with her daughter whom she was carrying on her hand looks incomparable as her beauty.

In some other news, Nicole was rumored to decline an invitation from “Gwyneth Paltrow”, Her co-star in “The Danish Girl”. The invitation was to hang out, a mere girls hobby. Well nobody knows the reason behind why Nicole ignored the invitation.

Some told press that Nicole lives not too far from where Gwyneth has been working in Nashville, doing her latest movie. Gwyneth gets in touch with Nicole and made an effort of inviting her to hang out but Nicole decline the invitation. Some says it would have been nice for Nicole to make an effort too.

We should not be bothered maybe there’s some a pure misunderstanding going on.

Would anyone think she can’t make it on runway? We’ll Kristen already proved them wrong. She looks so much lovely on her simple way of doing her own ramp way. The skirt really was as good as fit to her.

Eric Dane and Rebecca Gayheart Welcome Baby Girl!

The lovely couple shared good news to everyone on Wednesday (March 3). This “Greys Anatomy” star, Eric Dane proudly announced their welcome to a baby girl. According to him, there’s no name yet. They will have to decide after seeing the face of their baby, to surely fit the name.

Eric dutifully joined his lovely wife, Rebecca Gayheart at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center. She successfully gave a birth a to new baby girl here.

The couple was yet ready to take a new step of their lives, becoming good parents. Of course, taking care of a baby is not just easy job, it’s the most challenging role work has ever offer. Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt: Boating Family Fun!

The “Mr. and Mrs. Smith” main stars were having a good Sunday morning. Together with their kids they were enjoying the beautiful day. Strolling around venice, boating and visiting malls were such of those who make them laughs and smiles.

Even with a day with full of workload, the couple still make time to spend with their kids. Such a wonderful moment to reminisce in the future especially for the children.

Jolie and Pitt is a picture of a great couple with very ideal way of handling family. No one can hinder their desire to make themselves happy together with their kids even with so much work.

It’s not the public that matters, even if gossipers were around the couples doesn’t mind them, what’s important is, they spend the day enjoying with their kiddies.

While Jolie was attending to some matters about her upcoming movie, Pitt dutifully done his part as a lovely father to his kids by letting them roam around the city. I guess looking at his kids happy makes his worries and tiredness away, that’s the feeling of a father with contentment for what he is doing.

American photographer Penn dies

American photographer Irving Penn, who gained fame for his images ranging from fashion and celebrities to ordinary people and still life, has died.

His assistant Roger Krueger said he died at his home in Manhattan at the age of 92.

Mr Penn began his career in the 1940s at fashion magazine Vogue, later including travel, such as New Guinea mud men, and still life.

Versace is Closing Its Japan Stores

The Wall Street Journal reports that Gianni Versace SpA is closing its three remaining stores in Japan.

In a statement issued Wednesday, the fashion house said it closed its last three stores in Japan, because they "no longer represented the brand image." The statement described the move as part of a broader overhaul of company strategy, adding that Versace wanted "a clean slate" while hunting for "new locations and more suitable distribution channels" in Japan. The statement didn't say when Versace planned to reopen stores in Japan.

The store closures show how Japan's dwindling appetite for luxury goods is forcing brands to reassess their operations in pricey cities such as Tokyo and Osaka. Smaller fashion companies like Versace are under the most pressure, because they lack the financial firepower and economies of scale that larger rivals are tapping to ride out Japan's economic woes.

The WSJ story says a report by the Bain & Company consultancy predicts sales of luxury items to tumble by 10% in Japan this year. The Financial Times says Versace's stores had been in Japan for nearly thirty years.

London Architect Julian Hakes Designs the Mojito Shoe

London architect Julian Hakes has come up with this unusual design for the Mojito shoe, which is made of carbon fibre. There is a way for a foot to fit in this shoe if you look closely but there doesn't appear to be any foot support. Architect Julian Hakes doesn't think support is necessary.

With a high heel providing the heel is supported, even by standing on a wooden block the foot naturally 'spans' the gap naturally, with bones and tendons.

The foot has its own inbuilt strength and support so why duplicate this. You would not have a jumper with rigid arms between elbow and wrist.

So this raised the question, if the design of a shoe was an evolution of the early sandal and how can new materials and design techniques provide new solution?

So I set to exploring this question in a similar way to how I would design a bridge, examining the forces and looking at the most simple, elegant yet poetic expression of the forces at play within the materials used.

Any shoe that offers little or no support will eventually harm the wearer of the shoe. Fashion doesn't always consider pain and comfort. Models have worn crazier things on the runway before.

Belgian designer Dries Van Noten's Spring/Summer 2010 collection shown at Paris Fashion Week was all about the exotic print. Dries scoured the globe looking for the most beautiful textiles he could find. The fabrics were rich and luxurious and the prints were beautiful and exotic.

Someone's stylist will be fired after last night's mishap!

Both Shakira and Pink walked the red carpet at the 2009 MTV VMA's wearing the same Balmain dress.

How does that happen? Don't the designers know who they send the dresses to and who will be wearing it? Regardless, both ladies were good sports about it because they even took pictures together on the red carpet.

Thankfully it wasn't a diva star like Mariah Carey or Jennifer Lopez or else bad things would have happened.

Runway Fashion - Marc Jacobs Spring 2010

INSPIRATION: Sir Jacobs always derives inspiration from a variety of sources for his collections. This season was no exception. Today he riffed off of deconstructed ballerinas from Russia with a tinge of Martha Graham thrown in for good measure. (Given the powder white faces of the models and their flat wooden sandal footwear, we also think said dancers might have been on their way to Asia.)

Fitted army jacket with ruffled mini skirt; blush-colored minidress with floral applique; pale handkerchief hem dresses with red print and dangling pearls; translucent tulle gown with black piping

ACCESSORIES: Messenger bags in brown leather; oversized handbags in a metallic bronze hue; kitten heel flip-flops; aforementioned flat wooden sandals

WHO WAS THERE: Madonna, Lady Gaga, every fashion editor known to mankind, internet sensations (aka bloggers)

WHAT WE THOUGHT: One never knows what's going to come around the corner at Jacobs' show - starting with the entrance. There was no ornate backdrop this season but instead everyone was ushered into an extremely bright white plaster cube with bench seating (read: everyone is in the front row except for those with standing tickets).

Once the techotronic boom of the speakers sounded off the collective was treated to models wearing sheer spangled stockings and body suits under their ruffled minis and ornately decorated dresses. And that's not wear the ruffles ended. High harlequin-esque collars adorned a multitude of ensembles as did chunky summer scarves.

Aside from the impressive dresses, the utilitarian-style jackets were standouts. Sharply cut and totally flattering they came in shades of blue (as seen here), tan, and army green. Those were the more wearable items, others, like the black lattice suit, not so much. But then again with two equally fashion-forward icons of pop in the audience one never knows.
